I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I’m a lover of reading, writing, photography, and family.
My desire to travel began at a very young age, thanks to my lovely grandmother, Mary. Her stories and photographs of safaris throughout Sub-Saharan Africa shaped my dreams throughout adolescence, and into today. It is because of her, that I wish to see and experience all that I can, with whatever time I am given.
I live a simple life—no mortgage, no children, or ring. At thirty-eight, I’m still trying to figure out who I am and what I stand for. I write to keep my memories alive, because I often travel alone. I hope that my stories might encourage others to trade in their heels for a backpack… if even for a moment.
